Ilyana Surfhouse is surrounded by great surf spots for all levels. We want to take you on a trip along all the surfspots of the North of Morocco and inspire you to come experience it with us.
Each surf spots has its variables to make it good for beginners, intermediate or advanced surfers. This can vary on swell height, tides, or points of entry. On the map below we show you all the spots with a little explanation. Nevertheless, hereby as well our personal favorite surf spots in the area.

Rabat Beach
Our first favorite beach to surf is Rabat. What we love so much about surfing in our local beach of Rabat, is that it is suitable for all levels of surfing and there are multiple peaks at the same time! You can surf it at any swell, and the vibes are just as on a good party!
Plage des Nations
A short drive to the North of Rabat you find Plage des Nations. This is one of Nina’s favorite beaches in the area of Rabat. Why? There is 90% of the times nobody in the line-up! No more explanation needed i guess.
Mehdia Plage
Continue your drive more North, you find Mehdia Plage. A fun beach to spend the entire day surfing. As there are multiple peaks on the beach break, you can most often find an empty spot for you and your surfbuddies on the high-tide. This wave is not heavy which makes it perfect for intermediate surfers.
Want to get a challenge in? Then wait for the low-tide to kick in and you find Lmoun working. A perfect right-hander wave rolling for a very long time! Bit steeper and faster than the beach break, but definitely worth a try!
